This privacy policy explains how IoPT Norway – Institute for Trauma Work collects and uses personal data.

IoPT Norway – Institute for Trauma Work, represented by its general manager, is the data controller for the organization's processing of personal data.

This statement contains information you are entitled to when information is collected from our website, in accordance with Section 19 of the Personal Data Act, as well as general information on how we process personal data under Section 18, first paragraph of the same act. The basis for collecting this information is the purchase of a service (such as course registration) and consent (when subscribing to our newsletter).

Registration information

We collect information to provide our customers with the best possible service. When you register for a course with us, we store the information you voluntarily provide by filling out the registration form. This includes your name, email address, and billing address.

We use this information to process your order, including invoicing, sending course reminders and materials, and accommodating special needs such as food allergies. We may also send you information we believe will be useful regarding our products and services.

We do not share the information you provide with third parties, except for approved data processors with whom we have a data processing agreement. Since the details you provide when booking a course form a sales contract, this information is stored in our customer registry in accordance with the Bookkeeping Act.

Newsletter

When you sign up for the email list to receive the newsletter from IoPT Norway – Institute for Trauma Work, we only collect your email address. We will only use this to send you the newsletter from IoPT Norway – Institute for Trauma Work. Your email address will not be shared with any third party, and you can unsubscribe from this list at any time. The email tool we use for sending is called MailChimp.

Cookies

iopt.no uses cookies, which are small text files stored on the user's computer.

Our publishing platform (WordPress with extensions) places cookies on your device. These are used to give you a functional user experience on our website.

We also use cookies from Facebook, Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, and Google Search Console to collect statistics and usage patterns on the site. This helps us improve content and the user experience, and ensure our marketing is as relevant as possible.
