When I was little, I was endlessly fascinated by the starry sky and our universe—how infinite and mysterious it is. I borrowed books from the library about stars, planets, and galaxies and read them for hours. As I grew older and became more interested in things all teenagers care about, my dreams of the stars faded, but the fascination remained.
The years passed and various choices were made. I earned an engineering degree in space technology (my colleagues later turned that into rocket scientist) and a Master of Science degree in IT. So I did not lack exciting and demanding tasks. But I could not help being fascinated by the starry sky, its mysteries and its infinity. Deep down, I regretted not pursuing my interest further, but starting a new multi-year education in astrophysics and perhaps (!) getting to research what I wanted to research was out of the question.
But then I discovered something equally boundless, mysterious, and fascinating—the human psyche. Little by little, I began exploring different ways of working with and studying the human psyche, touching upon cognitive psychology, gestalt therapy, and family constellations.
Until I discovered IoPT – Identity-oriented Psychotrauma Theory and Therapy. My personal impression is that to date, IoPT is the most accurate "tool"
for working with and understanding the human psyche. I have not seen any other methods that go so deep into the psyche and bring out what you actually do not want to bring out—what you try with all your might to hide from yourself and from a psychologist, coach, or gestalt therapist.
